Balikpapan (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono is scheduled to make a one-day working visit to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Friday, Balikpapan Deputy Mayor Rizal Effendi said here on Thursday.

"One of the agenda in the vice president`s visit is to have a dialog with high school students from Samarinda and Balikpapan at State Senior High School-I (SMAN-I) here," he said.

He said SMAN-I in Balikpapan was one of favorite schools whose students have had outstanding achievement both at national and international levels.

In the visit to Balikpapan, the vice president would be accompanied among others by National Education Minister Mohammad Nuh, Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto and Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono.

Besides the dialog with high school students, the vice president would hold a gathering with some 400 participants of National Program for Self-Reliant People`s Empowerment (PNPM), and to inspect the result of PNPM project at Klandasan Ulu village after performing Friday prayer at Istiqoma mosque.

In the evening the vice president would make a gathering with governor, district heads, mayors, public figures and religious figures across East Kalimantan at Grand Senyiur Hotel before returning to Jakarta.(*)
