Tokyo (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Japan's Mitsuoka Motor Co. on Tuesday announced plans to enter the Chinese market and launch a rental car business in the Japanese market to help boost sales domestically and abroad.

Having resolved a dispute over trademark rights, the Toyama-based automaker says it will open a showroom in Beijing next April.

Plans call for a gradual expansion to Shanghai and Guangzhou, with a goal of selling 35 vehicles in China in the first fiscal year. In the future, the company aims to locally produce modified cars as well.
